October 27, 1902

A cool day with a slight frost this morning and a cold NWest wind blowing quite stiff all day.

This forenoon I helped Lafe (Lafayette Cochran) at the bridge.

(Pictured is the construction of the Cedar Creek Bridge, just on the North edge of the Bolton Farm, between sections 28 and 33, Cedar Township, Greene County.)

This afternoon have been framing the sills for the pig house.

In the evening we killed the first lamb.

The Co. Surveyor is here tonight intending to survey the road between Sections 27 & 28 tomorrow.

(The map is from 1905, three years later. The road to be surveyed still meanders, but more gradually, around the Casey (now Nugent) home.)
